Investigation European Commission North Sea shrimp traders
Volendam, 28 November 2013 – The European Commission issued a press release, which states that a number of European North Sea shrimp traders (among which Klaas Puul) has made arrangements that could restrict competition.
Klaas Puul has taken responsibility in this and has contacted the European Commission. The wholesaler has fully cooperated in the investigation of the European Commission.
Cees Machielsen, Consultant at Klaas Puul: ‘As a company, we attach great value to an open-market economy in which free and fair trade is paramount. We have adjusted our company policy to this: infringements to competition rules will not be tolerated.’
