Are you ready for a new challenge and do you want to help process high-quality shellfish? For the Operations department in Volendam and/or Edam, we are looking for independent and experienced technical talents to strengthen our team. Does this sound like you? Read on!

What are you going to do?

As a member of the Technical Services department, you will ensure that the production process runs smoothly and be a vital link in our success. You will be the point of contact for technical queries and carry out both preventative and corrective maintenance. In doing so, you will consider productivity, costs, and minimal downtime. In addition, you will guide and motivate operators to increase their technical knowledge and continuously improve processes. You will be responsible for, among other things:

  • Carrying out maintenance work;
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues;
  • Documenting activities and the use of materials;
  • Taking the initiative when identifying improvements;
  • Proactively guiding and training operators in machine knowledge.;
  • Proposing improvements to process optimisation;
  • Maintaining contact with colleagues and department heads.

What are we looking for

As a member of the Technical Services department, it is important that you can think in a process-oriented, solutions-focused and creative manner. In addition, we expect the following from you:

  • You have completed a technical MBO (vocational) education (preferably VAPRO);
  • You have 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical role; experience in the food sector is a plus.;
  • You enjoy working as part of a team, but are also able to work independently;
  • You are punctual and meticulous.;
  • You have excellent spoken and written command of both Dutch and English.

  • A salary of €3,600 – €4,000 based on 40 hours, depending on your experience;
  • A fixed-term employment contract for 12 months;
  • 25 holiday days based on a full-time contract, if you promise to return;
  • The opportunity to follow a course/training.;
  • A good pension scheme where Klaas Puul contributes 60%;
  • For distances over 10 kilometres, you will receive travel expenses of €0.23 per kilometre for commuting;
