For the Transport department in Volendam, we are looking for an enthusiastic
Transport Manager (40 hours per week)
What are you going to do?
As a Transport Manager, you are responsible for the daily management and optimisation of transport processes. You maintain contact with carriers, internal departments, and external stakeholders, and ensure that all transportation complies with applicable laws and regulations.
Your duties will primarily consist of:
Planning, organising and coordinating national and international transport.;
Manage and evaluate contracts with external carriers and transport partners;
Ensuring correct customs, export, and transport documentation;
Coordinate and support transport planners and transport coordinators.;
Monitoring of transport performance, delivery times, costs and quality.;
Identifying deviations, delays, and bottlenecks and acting upon them appropriately;
Escalate and resolve issues related to transportation and customs procedures.;
· Maintaining contact with production, logistics, sales and external stakeholders;
· Initiating and implementing process improvements within transport and logistics;
· Producing reports on performance, costs, incidents, and improvement measures;
· Documenting, recording, and updating work processes and procedures to ensure continuity.
What are we looking for?
You are a self-employed Transport Manager who maintains oversight, acts quickly, and takes responsibility for optimal transport organisation.
We ask:
· HBO working and thinking level, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or similar.;
· Minimum of 3 to 7 years of relevant work experience within transport and logistics;
· Experience with international transport, export and customs procedures;
· Knowledge of international transport legislation and logistics processes;
· Experience with contract management and collaboration with external hauliers;
· Strong communication and organisational skills;
Analytical ability and a proactive attitude.;
· Good command of the Dutch and English languages.

· For distances exceeding 10 kilometres, you will receive travel expenses reimbursement of €0.23 per kilometre for commuting.;
· A good pension scheme to which Klaas Puul contributes 60%;
