Brown shrimp cocktail

Ingredients

  • 150 g North Sea prawns
  • Lettuce, preferably Little Gem
  • Paprika powder, lemon wedges and chopped parsley
Marie Rose sauce
  • 200 g mayonnaise
  • 100 g ketchup
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 10 ml of Tabasco
  • 10 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • A splash of lemon juice
  • Black pepper to taste

Tips: Keep the prawns very cold for the best texture. Assemble the dish just before serving so the lettuce stays crisp.

Preparation steps

Mix the prawns with enough Marie Rose sauce so they are well coated.

Arrange the prawns on a bed of finely shredded lettuce in a chilled serving glass.

Garnish with lemon, paprika, and parsley.

Optional additions: cherry tomatoes, spring onions, lime wedges, avocado or tortilla chips.
